Wang Shiwei (1906-1947), formerly known as Shiwei, was known by his pen names Shiwei and Shuhan. He was born in Diaochuan County, Henan Province. He studied at Peking University, but was arrested the year after he wrote his essays "Politician, Artist" and "Wild Lilies", and was "wrongfully executed in the war environment" in 1947.
